Bio: Megumi Kohara grew up watching puroresu and joshi wrestling with her father. Her first live show was in November 26, 1992- her eighth birthday- watching as her favorite wrestler, Bull Nakano, fought (and lost to) Aja Kong for the WWWA Championship. She also got to be there live for Bull Nakano's retirement match in 1997, and in 2001 when Nakano made a breif comeback, Megumi would make her way backstage and implored Nakano to train her to be a wrestler. Nakano, who at that time was a professional golfer, reluctantly agreed.
In 2002, Megumi made her debut in Japan under her real name, losing in several hard-fought encounters. Her first win came against Amazing Kong, knocking Kong out with her lariat, which Kong desribed as being hit with a club. This started her nickname "Kotsubo" (A play on her name, combining it with tetsubo, or 'war club'), which in mid-2003 she started using as her ring name, romanizing it to KOTSUBO for added effect. Now 25 years old, she comes to the United States to make a name for herself like Kong has, with fellow Saitama native and longtime friend Kasumi Inoue as her translator.
