G-A-Yball gets my vote. ;) or Wendyball...
It's actual given name is association football.
But to make things understandable across the globe the name Soccer is used.
American Football- Gridiron,
Rugby Football- Rugby...
Aussi rules football- Aussi rules... the list goes on. Calling it Association never caught on it just sounds wank.
